Woman carjacked at knifepoint


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officers are investigating after a woman was carjacked at knifepoint.

It happened before 2 a.m. Friday in the 2600 block of Oakridge Drive.

The victim said when she got into her vehicle, the suspect jumped in the passenger side, put a knife to her, and told her to drive.

The victim said she drove for a short time, but when they got to Oakridge Drive and Walton Avenue, she took the knife from the suspect, got out of the car, and ran to a neighbor’s home.

The suspect drove away in the car, but later crashed the vehicle in the alley next to 515 Westwood Avenue. He then ran.

No arrests have been made.

Police are still investigating.
