DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The attorney for the family of John Crawford lll has called for a news conference Tuesday, Aug. 26 to address the transcripts of a 911 caller’s description of the events that lead up to Crawford being shot and killed by Beavercreek police officers at the Beavercreek Walmart on August 5.
Crawford was holding a BB gun he had taken off a shelf when police said he refused to drop the weapon when ordered to do so.
A special grand jury is scheduled to hear the facts in this case next week and determine if a crime was committed.
Michael Wright with The Cochran Firm Ohio, will hold the news conference in his office at 11 a.m.
