Man killed after stepping off RTA bus

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Police are investigating a deadly accident involving an RTA bus and a man who had just stepped off the bus.

A witness told 2 NEWS the man was a passenger on the bus and got off in the 3300 block of Shiloh Springs Road about 7:15 p.m. The victim then stumbled and fell underneath as the bus was pulling away.

“He may have been intoxicated,” said Trotwood Police Chief John Porter.

Porter said the 56-year-old victim lived in a nearby apartment. The Montgomery Coroner’s Office identifies him as William Cribley.
