Smoke fills Stivers school; classes canceled

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters are using fans to clear smoke out of Stivers School for the Arts on Fifth Street.

Crews responded to a fire alarm inside the school around 3 a.m. Wednesday. They found heavy smoke in the back of the building.

Traffic is able to get through the area.

A representative from Dayton Public Schools is on scene. The school will be closed today.
