PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) – Fire investigators released their first damage report a week after fire destroyed an old ice company in Piqua.

Our partners at the Piqua Daily Call report that the preliminary damage estimate to the former Piqua Fish & Ice Company building on Ohio Street is set at $206,000.

Crews are still determining exactly what was inside the vacant building.

Several nearby homes and garages were also damaged by the intense heat.

The state fire marshal’s office is assisting with the investigation as to what caused the fire.
