GERMANTOWN, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man was formally charged Friday for the death of a 22-month-old girl.
Jesse York, 29, is charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault and child endangering.
He is accused of killing Rylee Sellars in her mother’s Germantown home on November 13, 2013.
Prosecutors say York called 911 that day telling dispatchers the toddler was not responsive.
Rylee died at Dayton Children’s Hospital two days later. The coroner ruled her death was from blunt force trauma.
Police said York was watching the child while her mother was at work.
He is set for arraignment September 4.
