DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman is behind bars after police say she stabbed her boyfriend.
Ashley Couch, 26, was arrested on charges of aggravated felonious assault, aggravated menacing, and criminal damaging.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Ritchie Street around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
When police arrived, they met with the victim’s mother who said Couch had stabbed her son, 41-year-old Thomas Jones Jr. in the back of his arm. She said Couch originally came to her door with a knife and threatened to stab her, her son, and car. She said Couch then ran into the middle of the street, stabbed her son, and chased her son down the street with a knife.
Police met with Couch at her Bickmore Avenue home. When they arrived, they said she had a large amount of blood on her shorts but she didn’t have any injuries.
Couch told officers she had been asleep and when she woke up, Jones was choking her threatening to kill her. She said he held a knife to her throat while demanding her to tell him where the title to her truck was. She said he kicked her in the ribs, took her phone, and ran to his mother’s house.
Officers met with Jones who had a stab wound to his shoulder blade and knee. Police said he was bleeding profusely.
Jones family members told police that Couch had also stabbed Jones several weeks ago but it was never reported.
Couch was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
