Rash of car break-ins near Dayton ball park


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating a rash of car break-ins near a ball park.

According to the victims, the break-ins happened within a ten minute time frame in a parking lot in the 900 block of Irving Avenue Saturday around 11:30 a.m. Police said the lot is on the other side of a tree line where a baseball game was being played.

At least six vehicles were broken into.

Officers said the suspect shattered windows and took purses, money, credit cards, checks, and keys from the vehicles.

Police searched the area and woods nearby for suspects but didn’t find anyone.
