Explosion rocks Richmond neighborhood

RICHMOND, Indiana (WDTN) – Indiana State Police are investigating an explosion and fire inside a house in the 2300 block of Northwest 16th Street.

Fire crews were called there around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Police told 2 NEWS the force of the blast moved the house eight inches off its foundation.

No one was inside when emergency responders arrived. Officials aren’t sure if anyone was living there.

Indiana State Police confirm there was a meth lab inside the house. They were called in to remove the chemicals.
