DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton homicide detectives are continuing their investigation after the discovery of human remains on Labor Day.

The bones were found Monday around 1:30 p.m. by someone walking along the railroad tracks on West Riverview Avenue in Dayton.

Police said the human bones are spread out in an area about four yards by four yards. They also said it appears the bones have been there for several months. Detectives said there are no initial signs of trauma, but they are still investigating.
