DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man is in critical condition after a Dayton police officer found him bleeding in the street.

The officer found the man at Ringgold and East Third streets just before 9:00 Tuesday night.

Police said it is not clear how the 40-year-old man was attacked.

He is now in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Because of the severity of the victim’s injuries, homicide detectives were called to investigate.
