Convicted sex offender captured in Clark County

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says a wanted sex offender turned himself in to officers Wednesday night.

Matthew Jonathan Gossard, 35, was wanted for failing to register an address change.

Deputies say he saw himself on the news and turned himself in on the warrant.

Gossard was convicted of corruption of a minor June 2, 2003 in Clark County, Ohio.

He is classified as sex offender and is required to register once a year for 10 years. He is required to register until February of 2015.
