Girl Scouts release enrollment figures

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Girl Scouts of America released numbers to 2 NEWS about a decline in participation.

We first told you about the decline on Monday.

The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio tells 2 NEWS that the Dayton region has approximately 15,139 members, 870 fewer than in 2011.

The Girl Scouts say one in seven girls in our area is involved in scouting.

The Dayton region includes Clark, Champaign, Darke, Miami, Montgomery, Greene, Preble and Clinton counties.
