Stabbing victim says he was robbed

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Trotwood police are investigating a stabbing.

Officers responded to the Meadowlark Apartments in the 4900 block of Biddison Avenue just after 2:00 p.m.

Police say the victim told him he was stabbed during a robbery attempt, but he later backed off his story.

The 23-year-old victim was stabbed in the upper part of his chest. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with what officers describe as a non-life threatening wound.

The victim described his attacker as a man in his late teens or early 20s. He says he was approached as he was walking into an apartment building.

Police are looking for the victim’s girlfriend to find out whether she can shed light on what happened.

They are asking for witnesses to come forward and call Trotwood police at 937-225-4357. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867.
