Car crashes into 2 Springfield homes

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Two homeowners in Springfield are cleaning up after a car crashed into both their homes overnight.

The victims tell 2 NEWS that a driver hit several trash cans in the 2700 block of East High Street near Fostoria Avenue. They say the car then veered out of control, hitting the first home. The impact there shattered the entry way glass door.

They say the car then hit a tree and flipped, striking the house next door. Part of the roof collapsed over the front steps.

The residents say the driver got out of the car and was fine.

No word yet on charges.
