Police: iPhone seller victim of a Craigslist robbery

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man says he’s the victim of a Craigslist robbery.

The man told police that he arranged to sell an iPhone to a man that responded to his ad on the web site.

According to a police report, the two agreed to meet in the parking lot of the Bomberger Center on East Fifth Street.

The man told police the suspect pulled a gun on him and demanded not only the phone for sale, but the victim’s personal phone as well.

The report goes on to say that the suspect never got out of his car and sped away once the phones were in his hand.

Police tried to track the suspect based on the phone calls he made to the seller, but were unable, so far, to track him down.
