Resource fair for former nuclear weapons workers

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Help is available for those who got sick working in nuclear weapons facilities.

New legislation means some of the former workers of Fernald, Mound and General Electric could get paid. They can file claims for up to $400,000 tax free monetary compensation plus medical benefits.

Those workers and their families can learn more at a free resource fair Thursday.

It runs from 9:00 a.m. until noon and from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion at 35 North Main Street in Miamisburg.
