EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – Preble County deputies arrested a trash collector for taking customers’ money, but not giving them service.

Abraham Jaros, 33, of New Carlisle, is charged with theft from an elderly person.

Investigators say several residents complained that they paid Jaros Enterprises for three months of trash pickup, but only received service a couple of times and then it stopped altogether.

Jaros turned himself in Thursday at the sheriff’s office following the indictment that came down Tuesday. He also faces civil action in addition to the criminal charge.

He is now in the Preble County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
