EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – Preble County sheriff’s deputies have charged two Richmond, Ind. men for their involvement in a Sept. 2 burglary.
William C. Miller, 22, and Jesse P. Chagdes, 20, both of 805 NW 5th Street, Richmond, Ind. were arrested Sept. 3 when deputies said they tried to sell stolen property at Richmond antiques store.
Deputies said the clerk at the store recognized the property and called the owner. Sheriff’s deputies and Richmond police officers arrived at the store and took the two suspects into custody.
The men are accused of breaking into a home in the 7000 block of State Route 177 and stealing several thousand dollars worth of property.
Both are charged with burglary and theft from an elderly person and are being held in the Wayne County Jail pending extradition back to Preble County.
A female was also arrested, but is not charged with a crime in Ohio. Officials said she may face charges in Indiana.
