DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton firefighter injured battling a weekend blaze is recovering.

Dayton fire officials say he remains hospitalized at Miami Valley Hospital.

Doctors want to keep a close eye on him as a precaution, so he should be released in the next few days.

The fire department says he is currently undergoing breathing treatments to help with his recovery.

The firefighter suffered burns while helping Huber Heights battle a duplex fire on Bellefontaine Road Sunday.

No one else was injured.
