DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The man who owns the site where a home exploded faces charged connected to the clean up.

Daniel Brown is charged with a misdemeanor public nuisance charge.

He owns the property on Brooklyn Avenue that exploded back in April. The cause is undetermined.

2 NEWS has been checking back ever since and the property is still littered with debris.

49 other homes suffered damage from the blast, many of which are still boarded up.

We talked with one neighbor in June who worries for her children’s safety.

“We have children that live and play in the neighborhood. This is a couple blocks away from the school. All the children in the neighborhood are walkers.”

Brown is scheduled for arraignment October 15. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
