WPAFB trains for mass casualty

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio (WDTN) — Members of the 445th Airlift Wing’s medical unit took part in a full scale mass casualty exercise to test the wing’s response to aggressive terrorist activity and other incidents.

The training took place Sunday at the Calamityville Training and Research Facility in Fairborn.

About 400 people put their expertise to the test responding to simulations of a helicopter crash, building explosion, and vehicle bomb detonation.
