Airbus wants to do business with Ohio

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Aircraft manufacturer Airbus wants to do business with the Miami Valley.

It is meeting Monday with more than 90 Ohio aerospace manufacturers and suppliers to strengthen its relationship with Ohio companies.

The conference is part of Senator Sherrod Brown’s continuing support of Airbus to increase business in the Buckeye State.

Ohio will receive technical and financial support for developing and demonstrating new technologies to produce parts for Airbus.

According to the Ohio Aerospace Institute, there are more than 1,200 companies that support more than 120,000 jobs in Ohio’s aerospace industry.
