Graeter’s offers a free cone for a cure

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Cones for a Cure campaign is coming to a tasty close.

Graeter’s Ice Cream locations is giving away free scoops of Elena’s Blueberry Pie ice cream from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Proceeds from the campaign will benefit pediatric brain cancer research through the The Cure Starts Now Foundation.

Elena’s Blueberry Pie ice cream is named for Elena Desserich, 6, who inspired the The Cure Starts Now.

“In many ways, this is where it started,” says Chip Graeter of Graeter’s. “Almost six years ago we joined the charity with the creation of this special flavor and have been committed to the cause ever since. And this time we want to do even more.”
