Mauling dog owner out of jail

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – One of the owners of two dogs that killed a Dayton woman is out of jail on bond.

Julie Custer posted a $200 bond. She and Andrew Nason, own the two dogs that mauled Klonda Richey to death in February.

Both are charged with failure to control dogs.

Custer is scheduled into court Tuesday.  Nason is still in jail.

Both were also officially served with a civil order for a wrongful death lawsuit fled against them.

The charges are filed in the Dayton Municipal Court.  A Montgomery County grand jury failed to indict. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
