I-75 shift continues Friday night

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Interstate 75 construction shift is moving along smoothly.

Shifting of lanes began Tuesday night and continue through early Saturday morning.

Drivers are greeted with a new driving pattern as they make their way on Interstate 75 between Main Street and U.S. 35 in downtown Dayton.

A single lane closure begins Friday night at 11:00 p.m. ODOT says there could be a brief total closure of I-75 north during the actual traffic shift.

Traffic will shift Friday night on I-75 north to the newly constructed southbound side of the highway once lanes re-open Saturday, September 20 at 6:00 a.m.

Some ramp closures will also be in effect.

Once all of the above work is completed, traffic will be in its new configuration on the newly constructed southbound side of I-75 with two northbound lanes and three southbound lanes available for motorists. This will allow crews to work on constructing the new northbound side of I-75.

Arrow boards and signs will help you maneuver the construction zone.
