TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – A local mayor is making herself more available to handle feedback from the community.

Mayor Joyce Cameron of Trotwood hosted a neighborhood walk Friday to reach out to residents and listen to their concerns.

Mayor Cameron and other top city officials were out and about.

New on the mayor’s list of tasks is rehabilitating houses to put them back on the market.

That is part of her new community improvement program.

“There was a need in Trotwood when our council would get together and what it is, is a full circle council working together in the neighborhood,” said Mayor Joyce Cameron.

“This is what we need in the City of Trotwood. We need to get in our neighborhoods to be for sure that we are delivering the services that are required for our community.”

There will be one more walk this year. The date is not yet set. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
