DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man was indicted Tuesday for the Jan. 2013 killing of 44-year-old Eligio Jose Hernandez.
Epigmenio Miranda, 46, is accused of attacking Hernandez with a knife during an argument that came after a night of drinking.
Miranda then put Hernandez in his vehicle to take him to a hospital, but Hernandez bled to death while on the way, said Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr.
Heck said Miranda then dumped the Hernandez’s body at Triangle Park in Dayton.
Miranda was indicted on one count voluntary manslaughter and one count tampering with evidence.
His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 7, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.
