Local supermarket raided for drugs

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Federal and local law enforcers were kept busy Tuesday when they raided La Michoacana Market in the 700 block of Troy Street in Old North Dayton.

Cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine were confiscated in raids in Columbus.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, FBI, Dayton Police and IRS converged on the building at 8 o’clock, serving arrest warrants for drug activity.  No drugs were taken from the Dayton store.

2 NEWS has learned an indictment accuses the defendants of conspiring to distribute cocaine and heroin.

This incident is also a part of a larger raid in Columbus at markets with the same name – La Michoacana.

There, 13 people were arrested on drug charges, including methamphetamine.
