Robbery suspect says “thank you” after hitting store

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A robbery suspect hits a Dayton store and says “thank you” before he walks out.

It happened at the Dollar General located at 888 South Gettysburg Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Employees told police the suspect came into the store, went behind the register, and took money from the drawer. One worker said he told her to move or he would shoot but he never showed a gun.

According to the police report, when he was done, he left and said “thank you” before walking out the front door.

The suspect is believed to have gotten away with about $68.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid to late 30s, 6’0″, wearing a gray hat with blue bill, blue hoodie, and jeans.
