BUTLER TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a motorcycle rider caused a crash Thursday morning that backed up the morning rush hour.

Troopers say the rider was south on Interstate 75 near the Benchwood Boulevard exit when he didn’t notice that traffic was slowing down.

They say he sideswiped a van, then hit the rear of the pickup truck.

The driver was not seriously hurt, but he was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.

He will be cited for failure to keep a clear distance.
