EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – Preble County sheriff deputies found a dead woman near a crashed pickup truck over the weekend.

The body of Lesley Ingram Owens, 35, of Eaton was found Saturday evening in a wooded area off Lexington Road.

The truck was heavily damaged. Deputies determined that Owens was speeding near Ware Road when she lost control. The pickup hit several trees and Owens was ejected.

Investigators believe the crash happened shortly after Owens left her mother’s house, but it took a month to find due to the heavily wooded area.
