DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – It’s now been almost a year since the body of a missing 20 year woman was found in a Vandalia park, and her family is still waiting for answers.

Melissa Spradling is left with questions, and a scrapbook of memories, following the death of her daughter Aria. She is also now left to raise her granddaughter.

“Who could do this and why I don’t know,”  Spradling wonders. “I just need to know who did it and why.”

20-year-old Aria Spradling was a dancer at The Harem Nightclub in Harrison Township the night she disappeared in September 2013.

Two months later, her body was found by Montgomery County workers in Art Van Atta Park in Vandalia.

Why she disappeared, and how she died, remain a mystery.

“I need closure,” said Spralding. “I need for my granddaughter to know who did this to her mommy. I need to know who did this to my daughter.”

“Detectives are still looking into the suspicious death of Aria Spradling,” Det. Cayce Cantrell said. “If you know anything about her death or why she went missing please call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867.”
