TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – Kroger announced plans to expand its Troy store.

It wants to tear down the old store at 751 West Market Street and build a new Kroger Marketplace.

The grocer submitted its plans to the city.

The Dayton Business Journal reports that the new store will be 124,000 square feet which would be one of the largest Kroger stores in the Dayton region.

The journal says the new store will be build near the old store site, so the old store will remain open until the Marketplace is complete.
