XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) — 2 people were arrested on suspicion of OVI at a checkpoint Saturday night. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Beavercreek Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, announced the OVI checkpoint at Indian Ripple Road west of I-675 from 11 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday.
More results from the OVI checkpoint won’t be available until Monday.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by state and federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. Saturation patrols will also be held nearby to combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
Troopers want to remind you, if you plan to drink designate a driver or make other travel arrangements.
