Sanctuary raises money, awareness for animals

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – A fundraiser is also raising awareness for animals.

Noah’s Arc Animal Sanctuary hosted the event in Englewood Satuday.

Among those in attendance was Chloe Kristensen. Kristensen’s pet fox was euthanized in Fairborn after getting caught in a neighbor’s trap.

The city told Christensen the fox was not allowed to be owned under city ordinance.

Organizers with Noah’s Arc Animal Sanctuary were asking for the city to make a change.

“All of us that work at the sanctuary know Chloe,” said Stephen Kelty, Executive Director for Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. “We’ve met her fox. She is a very responsible owner for an exotic animal. I think what happened is obviously a tragedy.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
