Shots fired into Dayton apartment


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after shots were fired into a Dayton apartment.

Police said they were leaving a breaking and entering scene at the Family Dollar on North Main Street when they heard three shots fired nearby.

Police said after 2:30 a.m. dispatch contacted them and said shots were fired into an apartment complex on Burton Avenue. Officers made contact with a woman who said she was in her bedroom when she heard three shots and found holes in her front window and living room wall. Officers found a bullet in her home.

Police collected evidence from the scene.
