SANDUSKY, Ohio (WDTN) – It is the end of the run for Cedar Point’s 18-year-old Mantis roller coaster.

After nearly 23 million riders stood up to their fears, 32 lucky winners and their guests took the final rides Sunday on this coaster classic.

Cedar Point announced last month that Mantis will be converted into a floorless roller coaster named Rougarou.

It will feature a 145 foot hill, reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour.

The Rougarou is set to open next year.
