East Dayton standoff ends; suspect in custody

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A police standoff in an east Dayton neighborhood has come to a peaceful end with the man involved has been taken into custody.

Officers were called to the 4100 block of East Fourth Street around 7 p.m. on the report of a suicidal man they considered to be a threat.

Police blocked streets in the area of E. Fourth St. and S. Smithville Rd. while the incident was ongoing.
