Watch the lengths Marshals go to arrest a fugitive

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities arrested a suspected drug dealer Thursday who had climbed onto the roof of a home.

The U.S. Marhsals SOFAST Task Force along with Springfield Police captured John Brooks, who they say has been wanted for three years on drug trafficking charges.

This isn’t the first time he’s used the roof as an escape route.

Marshals say he jumped from a roof about a year and a half ago, but injured himself and ended up in the hospital instead of jail.

This time he couldn’t avoid the handcuffs.

Not every suspect goes to such great lengths to get away.

During the Marshals search for fugitives in Springfield one man welcomed them into his home.

Polite or not there was still the issue of the warrant out for his arrest.

Ronald Sexton was wanted on receiving stolen property and forgery charges and taken into custody by Marshals. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
