WILMINGTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A former alumni advisor at Wilmington College pleaded guilty to hazing.

John Finkbone II, of Clarksville, appeared in court Thursday.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that he was connected to a hazing incident at the now defunct Gamma Phi Gamma fraternity in October 2013.

A pledge, Tyler Lawrence, was seriously injured when he was struck with a towel.

Four of fourteen fraternity brothers charged in the case were from the Miami Valley.

The newspaper says Finkbone must complete 40 hours of community service following an assessment.
