Police: 5-month-old suffered broken rib, bruises

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police are investigating after a baby girl was rushed to the hospital with injuries.

A Dayton police report indicates the girl’s mother took her 5-month-old to Dayton Children’s Hospital Wednesday night.

Doctors determined the child’s ribs were broken and she was bruised.

The mother says she believes the injuries occurred while she was at work.

The child’s father was baby-sitting the child at her Caliph Court home.

No charges have been filed.
