OAKWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – The City of Oakwood passed a ban on smoking on all city-owned property.

Oakwood city council members approved a measure Monday that prohibits smoking on any city property, including parks. The ordinance includes electronic cigarettes.

City leaders say they approved the measure after complaints from residents living near parks.

This is the first anti-smoking legislation of its kind in Montgomery County, but county health officials hope it will start a trend.
