BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Residents of a home in Bethel Township need a place to stay after fire forced them out of their home.
It happened in the 900 block of Weinland Drive in Park Layne just before 7 p.m. Thursday.
Officials said the fire started in a garage before spreading to an adjacent home.
Firefighters said they were doing training at the station when the call came in, and were able to make quick time to the scene.
They rescued two dogs from the home.
No one else was there at the time.
Crews said the garage was a total loss, with thousands of dollars in damage to the home.
The cause is still under investigation.
