Man guilty of stabbing homeless man 100 times

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a homeless man.

Curtis Gray, 28, must serve at least fifteen years for the death of Daniel Mooty, 51 on October 10, 2013.

Police arrived on Quitman Street that night to find Gray hovering over the body of Mooty. He was arrested after a short foot chase.

Mooty suffered from more than 100 stab wounds.

A jury found Gray guilty of murder and felonious assault charges on October 9, 2014.
