Carjacking suspect connected to Trotwood gang shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Montgomery County deputies are connecting a carjacking with a gang shooting in Trotwood.

Deputies confirm that a 17-year old boy taken into custody Thursday night is the suspect in a shooting on Wolf Road in Trotwood October 29.

A 15-year-old was shot that night during an argument between Meadowdale High School and Thurgood Marshall High School students.

Three people were inside the stolen car when police stopped it Thursday night in the 2400 block of Main Street in Dayton.

Two suspects got away, but the 17-year-old was taken into custody.

The car’s owner says he was the victim of a carjacking outside of a gas station in Harrison Township Wednesday night.

The teenager is currently in custody.
