DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials are calling a fire that sparked at a vacant Dayton house suspicious.

Crews rushed to the 300 block of Adelite Avenue Sunday morning.

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the flames and no one was injured.

Fire officials said there are several vacant houses in the area, which provide open invitations to arsonists.

Officials said there is a program to board up and tear down vacant houses, but there are so many, it’s hard to keep up with.

Investigators are looking into how the fire started and who’s responsible.
