60-year-old woman attacked with screwdriver

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police are actively searching for a suspect after a 60-year-old woman was found bleeding from the head.

Police responded to a 911 call at a home on Corinth Boulevard late Wednesday morning. They arrived to find the woman suffering from multiple puncture wounds to her head. They believe she was stabbed with a screwdriver that was later found at another address.

Police also found a shovel and freshly dug ground in the back yard that they so far cannot explain.

The suspect took off, but police are looking for Jason McInturff, 37. Officers say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

He is described as 5’11”, 160 pounds, with short, brown hair, a light mustache and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police believe he may be driving a stolen 2004 Chevy Cavalier that is tan in color. It has Ohio plates EYZ 5414.

McInturff is said to have family in the Englewood and Trotwood areas. He has a recent arrest in Greene County.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
