Fire in vacant house considered suspicious

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Fire officials are calling a fire at a vacant Dayton house suspicious.

Firefighters were called to the 1800 block Germantown Street Sunday around 1:50 p.m. when a driver spotted smoke.

Crews were able to quickly contain the fire and no injuries were reported.

The road was shut down for a period of time while firefighters worked to clear the scene.

The house is considered a total loss, but no damage was done to neighboring houses.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
