MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) — Sycamore Medical Center hosted its second annual Holly Jolly Celebration Sunday.

Those who purchased tickets were able to meet Santa, create a holiday craft, and visit local vendors.

The proceeds from the event go to Sycamore’s Transportation Fund. The money assists patients who need help traveling to and from appointments at the hospital’s wound center.

“Sometimes they don’t have the money to pay for transportation, so the benefits today will help those patients,” said the Vice President of Patient Care at Sycamore Medical Center Deanette Sisson. “It can save lives and save mobility, so it helps preserve limbs, so thats why we think it’s so important.”

Last year the hospital raised a couple thousand dollars. This year they hope to bring in even more money for the cause.
